Interviews • Trent Sellers • What role do you think racism plays in sports today? • I don’t think negative racism does, but the majority of minorities plays a role today. • How do you think racism in sports has progressed over time? • I don’t think it matter anymore to see a bunch of minorities in sports • Why do you think there was so much hatred toward Jackie Robinson? • Because baseball was America’s favorite past time and they didn’t want black people to be able to play.

Interviews • Mr. Persing • What role do you think racism plays in sports today? • It’s decreased over the last 20 years but there are still tensions between certain races • How do you think racism in sports has progressed over time? • It has regressed a little since Robinson and that time period. People have been steered in the right direction because they need to be able to work with other races • Why do you think there was so much hatred toward Jackie Robinson? • It was a sport where there was still segregation and it was the national past time. Also it was around the civil rights movement.
