  1. MeterMate 3.00 Overview GE Electricity Metering School October 2~6, 2000

  2. MeterMate 3.00 Structure • MeterMate Profile Manager • Define up to 20 measures to be tracked by kV2 • 272 measurements to choose from • MeterMate Program Manager (MMPROG) • “MMWIN” equivalent for creating kV/kV2 programs, managing users & security codes • MeterMate Meter Comm (MMDOS) • Used to Read & Program kV/kV2 meters, generate reports, etc. MM 3.00 Overview

  3. kV kV2 MM 3.00 and MMLP 2.0 MM Profile Manager MM Program Manager Database Update MM DOS Setup MMLP MM 3.00 Overview

  4. New Features (MMPROG) • Support for the kV2 meter, including: • Partial Programming capability • TOU Schedules & Calendars • I/O & Alerts: function and pulse value • Recorder parameters • Display Label editor • Totalization editor • Rate Selection editor • Defines TOU Schedule & Calendar resources • User Groups editor MM 3.00 Overview

  5. New Features (MMDOS) • Support for the kV2 meter, including: • Partial Programming • Transformer Loss Compensation • Transformer Correction (for CT & VT errors) • Electronically “Seal” meters (kV/kV2) • Reconfigure Security Codes (kV/kV2) • New reports • Voltage Event Monitor • Harmonic Analysis • Upgrade/Downgrade soft switches • Faster communications (up to 57.6K baud) MM 3.00 Overview

  6. New Concepts: Default vs. Template • Support Table Editors • Defaults: • Same concept used in MM 2.12 • Used in MM 3.00 for Profile Independent Editors • Includes: Site, Meter Diagnostics, Rate Selection, and Modem Configuration Editors • May be modified and used directly by a Program • May be shared by kV or kV2 programs (except for Diagnostics support table) MM 3.00 Overview

  7. New Concepts: Default vs. Template • Support Table Editors • Templates: • Used in MM 3.00 for Profile Dependent Editors • Includes: Basic Meter, Display Tables, I/O & Alerts, Recorder, and Totalization Editors • May not be modified or used directly by a Program • Defaults may be created from a Template for a profile dependent editor • A support table named Default in a profile dependent editor will be the starting point for new support tables that use the same Profile. • If no Default exists for a profile, the Template will be the starting point for a new support table. MM 3.00 Overview

  8. New Concepts: Default vs. Template MM 3.00 Overview

  9. New Concepts: Shared Resources • TOU Schedule and Calendar files • Now considered “Resources” • May be shared by kV and kV2 programs • Referenced in Rate Selection editor • Rate Selection support table may also be used in making a partial program • “Delayed implementation” of a Rate Selection support table is supported in the kV2 MM 3.00 Overview

  10. New Concepts: Partial Programming • Applies to kV2 Only • Rate Selection (TOU Schedule and Calendar) • Profile Independent • May use any defined TOU Schedule and Calendar • Must save as a unique Rate Selection table • May be implemented immediately or scheduled for future implementation • Recorder • Profile Dependent • May change any parameter in the editor except minimum power outage duration definition • Existing LP data in the meter will be cleared upon reprogramming the recorder parameters MM 3.00 Overview

  11. New Concepts: Partial Programming • Applies to kV2 Only • I/O & Alerts • Profile Dependent • May change any output parameter • May only change input “magnitude per pulse” (not the type of input) • May change Prompt and Table choices • Interdependence with Totalization editor limits choices to existing I/O & Alerts tables only MM 3.00 Overview

  12. New Concepts: Pending RTP • Applies to kV2 Only • Controlled by MMDOS commands • No Modem board required to change RTP state • Use the Program | reConfig | rTp commands • Choose “Immediate” or “Future” execution of the change of state request • For “Future”, define the date/time of execution, whether to “Activate” or “Deactivate” the RTP • Any RTP activation delay in the program starts at the date/time specified MM 3.00 Overview

  13. New Concepts: User Groups • Applies to kV and kV2 • Makes managing multiple users much easier • Create a User Group set of enabled functions • Examples: Technicians - Allowed to Program & Read; Readers - Allowed to Read and perform Demand Resets • New users get assigned to one of the User Groups • If upgrading from MM 2.12, old users will retain their assigned functions. A new “Group” is created for each MM 2.12 user. MM 3.00 Overview
