What are They? • Wind that is warmer on one side of a mountain than it was on the other. • Rain shadow wind, can raise temp. by atleast 54 degrease in hours.
What causes them? • Moist air after passing a mountain is forced up where moisture is made into clouds leaving the air dry and warm. Making the air on the lee side of the mountain up to at least 50 degrease warmer.
How Long do They Last? • An hour – Several days
When do they Happen • Anytime most commonly in winter and spring.
The Damage it can do… • Start wildfires • Illnesses • Migraines – psydnosis • Suiside and Accident problems increase 10% during the wind
