  2. Where It Is! • The Great Victorian Desert stretches across southern and western Australia.

  3. What Is In It? • Most of the desert is covered in sand dunes but, a small part of it is covered in pebbles.

  4. Between What? • The desert is between the Nullarbor Plain and the Gibson Desert.

  5. How Long? • The huge piece of land is 250,000 sq. miles from start to finish.

  6. Grass! • Spinifex grass grows throughout the Great Victorian Desert. Small shrubs grow in groups in the desert.

  7. Near The Coast? • The desert is stretched across southern and western Australia, near the coast.

  8. Rain? • The desert gets six to ten inches of rain a year. NOT much at all!

  9. The Temperature • The Great Victorian Desert has extremely hot Summers and super cold Winters.
