WPI PH-1120/1121 Exp. #3 Worksheet +3q -8q +3q +2q Name _____________ Partner_____________ 1. Given the charge arrangement shown below, (a) first try drawing in the appropriate set of Field lines and equipotentials on the back of this page without EM-Field help, and then (b) duplicate this arrangement in EM-Field, clicking in several field lines and equipotentials, comparing your part-a sketch with the simulation, and (c) draw a final set of Field lines below (applying the Field line rules) and a corresponding set of equipotentials, properly matching up with the Field lines. (no numbers necessary) 2. On the left-side of the space below, copy the 5-digit slope and uncertainty values from your four resistance measurement experiments. On the right-side, write the slope +/- uncertainty in proper format (uncertainty rounded to one significant figure – unless the lead digit is “1”, in which case it is rounded to two significant figures; main number rounded to the same decimal places as the uncertainty). Below that, write the average of the resistance +/- uncertainty from the Excel calcula- tion, first to 5-digits each on the left and in proper rounded form on the right.
