Communicable • a disease that can be communicated from one person to another.
Non Communicable • A non-communicable disease or NCD is a disease which is not infectious.
Chicken Pox • A highly contagious illness caused by primary infection with varicella zoster virus. • It affects the body by making you really itchy, tired, and hot.
STD • An STD is a sexually transmitted disease. • When you have an STD you tend to get blisters around the genital area.
Measles • A very contagious, easily spreadillness caused by a virus. • Symptoms usually start 8-12 days after you are exposed. • Effects the body by giving you a full body rash.
Osteoporosis • A disease where your bones are not as strong and begin to soften. • Makes your bones ache and bones soften.
Diabetes • A polygenic disease characterized by abnormally high glucose levels in the blood. • You tend to have excessive urination if you have diabetes. • Sometimes you have too much sugar and other times you have not enough sugar in the body.
Asthma • Respiratory disorder characterized by wheezing. • Usually of an allergic origin. • It slows you down and keeps some from doing certain activities.
