Part 1: Cultural Elements in My Family • For this activity you must make a collage for EACH of the topics below (4 collage slides required – see below) • You must accompany each collage with a written explanation slide TOPICS: • My sports and pastimes • Traditions and/or popular feasts in my family. • Music • Traditional food/meals.
Part 2: Atlantic Artistic Expression For this topic you must: • Choose 2 artists from the list of famous Atlantic Canadians • Research and explain the impact of their culture on the Atlantic region and vice versa • Include 2 photos of the artists as well.

Part 4: My Family Tree For this activity you must include: • Your family tree (3 generations) which includes the name of each person, relationship to you, and current/past occupation. • A written explanation that reflects research into ONE of the occupations from your family tree. You must describe the influence of the profession on our region and explain the technological changes associated with this work over the years.

Points to Remember • One power point presentation with all required parts to the project • Pay close attention to grammar and spelling. • Respect the time given toward finishing this project as our time is limited • Include graphics, pictures, and music if you like • REMEMBER> The focus for the project is on ATLANTIC CANADA • DO NOT PLAGIARIZE. Your work must be in your own words and references must be cited at the end of your slideshow.
