  2. THE MEANING Keep: Tereo(NT:5083), "to KEEP, to GUARD," is translated "to be kept in charge," in Acts 24:23; 25:4, RV (KJV, kept) Example: (Re 3:3) Remember then what you received and heard; KEEPthat, and repent.

  3. THE MEANING Lay Hold: epilambano (NT:1949), "to TAKE, CATCH, SEIZE“ Example: (1Ti 6:12) “TAKE HOLDof the eternal life…” Accepting all PRIVILEGES and RESPONSIBILITIESinvolved in possession

  4. THE MEANING The Faith: PISTIS (NT: 4102) Paul calls the message itself PISITIS. Along these lines PISITIS is the Christian message Example: Gal 1:23 "He who once persecuted us is now preaching THE FAITHhe once tried to destroy"

  7. THE MANSION 2Ti 4:6-8 – God will reward Paul with a Crown of Righteousness be he KEPT the faith Jas 1:12 – The crown symbolizes ETERNAL LIFEwith God

  8. THE MANSION Joh 14:1-3 – Eternal life with God is described as a MANSION, or dwelling place similar to the shelters in the temple Joh 17:24 – The MANSION symbolically represents ETERNAL FELLOWSHIP with God and Jesus

  9. THE MANSION 1Cor 15:1-4 – Jesus brought forth the possibility of ETERNAL FELLOWSHIPwith God through his DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION Col 1:20 – THE FAITHis summed up in Jesus bringing PEACE and RECONCILIATION through the BLOOD OF HIS CROSS

  10. THE MANSION Heb9:11-14 – The BLOOD of the Cross purchased eternal redemption, and has opened DWELLING PLACESwith God for us Heb 10:12-20 – We can now enter into the holiest by the BLOOD of Jesus which he shed when His FLESH was SACRIFICED on the CROSS

  11. THE CONCLUSION Jesus has torn down the veil of the temple providing eternal access to God through the sacrifice of his FLESH and BLOOD We keep THE FAITHbecause we all want to dwell in a state of eternal fellowship with God which is provided for us by Jesus Christ

  12. THE CONCLUSION Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of FAITH, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us HOLDFASTthe profession of our FAITHwithout wavering; (for he is faithful that promised) HEBREWS 10:22-23
