The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World Hanging Gardens of Babylon • Where: Babylon, Mesopotamia • When: c. 600 BC • What: Nebuchadnezzar II built tiered gardens of trees, shrubs, and vines for hiswife who missed her lush, green homeland.
