TENER Simply conjugate the verb “tener” in a sentence to show possession. • Juan has a green shirt. • Juan tiene una camisa verde. • We have a nice Spanish teacher. • Nosotros tenemos un profesor simpático.
Use the word “de” • In English we use an apostrophe to denote ownership, in Spanish we cannot. • To express ‘s in Spanish we must use the wordde. • DE= of or from • In Spanish we use the word “de” to refer to the owner Ex.
