I. Mobile Version • Edvance360 is proud to introduce our new mobile version of the application. The Edvance360 platform has been running on mobile devices for some time, but we've created a streamlined version of the site with the tools most important to users “on the go”. • These include: • Calendar access • System alerts • Friends list • Send and Receive Messages • View Grades
II. Abuse Reporting • Edvance360 has instituted a system wide abuse reporting mechanism that allows users to identify and report abuses of the system. • Abuse Reporting for Administration: • Administrators can review and take action on all reports of abuse. • Administrators can customize delivery of abuse report notifications. • Abuse Reporting for Students: • "Report Abuse" button throughout system allowing users to flag and comment on instances of system abuse.
III. Notification Agents • Take advantage of the new Notification Agent to help keep up with your students' assignments. Send automatic reminders, be notified of late assignments and even get messages when students complete a certain percentage of a course or fall below a set average for a course. • Notification Agents for Administration/Instructors: • Instructors can set agents to remind students of upcoming or overdue assignments. • Instructors can create agents to be notified of student inactivity. • Instructors can be notified as students complete a set percentage of a course. • Instructors can be notified if a students average falls below a set threshold. • Instructors can be notified if an assignment is turned in late.
III. Notification Agents • Student View: • Instructors can choose to have any notification sent to students as well as instructors. • Instructors can apply reminders to any Gradebook item to be notified or to notify students when a change in the grade is made.
IV. Administration Updates • We have added a number of new features as well as enhanced a few favorites: • Administrators can clone individual content items from one course to another • Administrators can transfer ownership of course content from one instructor to another during cloning process • Administrators can identify users as “assistant leaders” • Administrators can specify that the system use an alternate, fully custom help page in place of the current Edvance360 help page • Course and Community categories can be imported from a text file • New “Dormant Student” report in Admin Tab
V. Course Updates • Instructors can clone their own course content to another course. • Instructors can clone individual content items from their own course content to another course. • Instructors can drop students from their course. • Instructors can add or drop members from communities. • RSS Feed Widget has been added for course and community home pages • Ability to provide rich text feedback/markup to user Essay questions • Instructors can choose to display class rank to their students. • Instructors can email grades to students directly from the course Gradebook.
V. Course Updates • Courses can be exported in Common Cartridge format. • Consolidated open/closing date editing to edit dates for all items within a course • Course and community leaders can create announcements that show up on students' home pages. • Community calendars can be set no longer allow students to add or edit events. • Instructors can bulk download files from the repository. • Students can bulk upload files to the Dropbox. • Communities can be set to auto-enroll users based on campus membership or term inclusion.
VI. Minor Updates • Edit settings for all tests from one consolidated page • Discussion groups for courses and communities now have access to their own calendar. • Surveys can be cloned to multiple courses and communities. • Time Spent in Lessons report • Time Spent Taking Tests report • Option for consolidated question editing within Tests • Updated question display in Repositories • Discussion Posts can be marked in draft mode to hide from student view. • Discussion Posts can be sorted by multiple headings.
VI. Minor Updates • Users can send email to all members of a discussion group or course with a shortcut button on the Group or Course Homepage. • Surveys can be set to track results anonymously or not. • The student’s view of their own Grades Tab has been reorganized for more efficiency.
