Introduction to Egypt • Egypt is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. • Can anyone name me any of the main attractions in Egypt? • Good. You seem to have the basic knowledge of Egypt. • Egypt was a rich nation. • They were perhaps one of the most creative nations at that time. • They invented hieroglyphics, a way of writing in that time.
Mummification • I forgot to mention. My talk will be rarely on these slides and please do not refer to the slides often. • I will be talking the points with my mouth. • Ok. So Egypt mummified their kings and place them in tombs. • These tombs are pyramids.

Question 1 • Where did the early ancient Egyptians bury the dead? • in mud • in the Nile • amongst the papyrus reeds • in the desert
