  3. Literacy starters - Acronyms & Mnemonics Mnemonics Mnemonics help you remember things – they are silly sentences you make up to help you remember things. NESW – North, East, South, West Necessary - to remember how to spell this word, try remembering ‘one collar, two sleeves’ or ‘never eat curry, eat salad sandwiches and raspberry yoghurt’. Never Eat Soggy Waffles TASK: write down the definition for mnemonics and copy one example. Can you share any other mnemonics with the class?
