CAREER SUCCESS PROGRAM The Career Success Program is a pilot project designed to assist WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board) sponsored post-secondary students gain experiential learning & co-curricular opportunities. ~ April, 2018 - March, 2019

CAREER SUCCESS COACH • Recommends appropriate EL opportunities based on academic program, past work experience, injury, and student status • Considers student schedules, academic progress, and tailors EL opportunities to the student • Job develops on behalf of students to find impactful community EL opportunities
TIMELINE APRIL 2018 Receive Funding from Career Ready Fund JUNE 2018 Georgian & Mohawk hire CSC roles & hold Program Launch events JULY 2018 CSCs contact WSIB sponsored students via email 38 students at Mohawk & 49 students at Georgian AUGUST 2018 3 students have completed a co-curricular activity SEPTEMBER 2018 - MARCH 2019 Students complete co-curricular activities SEPTEMBER-DECEMBER, 2018 Create online module to support program MARCH 2019 Program completion
PROCESS PATH Student Success Coach -Student meets with SSC to discuss functional abilities & interests Reflection -Student reflects on goals & records new skillsets -Record activities in CCR WSIB Student Success Advisor -Introduces Career Success Program to the WSIB student Unique Plan -Student and SSC develop an individualized Co-Curricular plan to compliment students’ program of study
