  8. Intro to Business Management This is a dual-enrollment course with University of Pitt – Bradford. We will analyze the evolution of management structures as well as different roles a manager plays.
  9. We will utilize real-world experience as we manage the vending machines in our school.
  10. Management Grades Your Grade will be based on: Class effort and participation Classwork activities Projects Tests Exams Essays Vending machine tasks CONTINUE
  11. Accounting I objectives You will lean the “language of businesses.” You will complete transaction for the entire account cycle. You apply your knowledge in a real-life simulation
  12. Class structure/grade Daily checks for completed homework 10 pts for vocab, “On your own” & “Application” exercises 20 pts for “Mastery Problems” Tests and quizzes – 100pts Extra Credit every chapter “Challenge” problem.

  14. Late work is not accepted. Partial work is given partial credit.
  15. At the end of each class I give time to start your homework. USE YOUR TIME WISELY. This is your chance to ask me questions. And….you may even finish in class.

  21. Accounting II objectives You will complete the accounting cycle for a manufacturing corporation. You will journalize in the cash payments journal, cash receipts journal, purchases journal, sales journal, and general journal. You will enter transactions into a computerized accounting system.
  22. To be successful… Always TRY! Be POSITIVE! Always read RUBRICS CAREFULLY! Submit your work by the DUE DATE! Be HERE! Take notes. Do your own work!
  23. Classroom Rules BE RESPECTFUL! Be positive. Do not degrade others. No name calling or saying “shut up.” Show up to class on-time and prepared. Raise your hand and patiently wait your turn. Keep your gum and germs to yourself!
  24. Computer Lab rules No food or drinks near computers. Sit in your chair properly. Only use approved websites. Keep your workstation clean. Push in your chair when you leave.
  25. If you are absent… Homework, assignments, tutorials, and rubrics are always posted on Schoology. It is up to you to watch tutorials or have someone show you the lesson you missed. If you do not have a computer access at home… you must make time to come in.

  28. Printer Usage My printer code is 1128. Only use printer for school-related items. Ask before you print an assignment for another class. You do not need to ask, if I assigned printing.
  29. Before you print… DO NOT WASTE PAPER! FIRST, Proofread on your screen. Confirm the correct printer. (Settings change for each printer.) Print double-sided if possible. Do not print “junk” pages.
  30. What do you need for this class? WRITING UTENSIL Accounting must use pencil Accounting and Management also need textbook and workbook/notebook.
  31. To start each day… Leave your books at the back table (unless you are Accounting or MGMT) Logon to computer Look at SmartBoard for directions Start working
  32. Cell phone/ technology use Classroom use only. Cell phones may be used for polleverywhere. No messaging anytime. Including during free time. During tests or other graded assignments, cell phones must be placed in the BOX.
