  2. Isaiah 60:1-2 (NIV) Arise, shine, for your light has come,and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earthand thick darkness is over the peoples,but the Lord rises upon youand his glory appears over you.

  3. Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV) Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbour as yourself.”All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

  4. John 3:16 (NIV) For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
