Book cheap hotels in Mussoorie and experience for yourself the charm that has bewitched travellers since ancient times. Must-Visit Tourist Attractions Christ Church: Christ Church is known to be the oldest catholic church in Mussoorie. Located above Kasmanda Hill, the church is believed to have been founded in 1836 by a British community residing in the region. The Pre-Raphaelite stained glass windows and Victorian infrastructure are exemplars of the finesse of English architecture. The premises house a deodar tree, which is said to have been planted by Prince Wales in 1906. The church is located at a convenient distance from the hotels in Mussoorie on Mall Road. George Everest House: Originally serving as a laboratory and house to Sir George Everest, this residence has transformed into a historical landmark. Sir George Everest served as the Surveyor General of India from 1830-34. He made significant contributions to the mapping of the height of mountains such as K2, Everest, Kanchenjunga, and others. Just a short trek from the house is George Everest Peak, which was initially called Peak XV but was renamed in honour of Sir George Everest.
