Tai Lam Country Park: Tai Lam Country Park, which is Hong Kong’s second largest and expensive country park, occupies 5,412 hectares of the Western New Territories Syrian grounds. Extending from Tsuen Wan to Tuen Mun its visit area surrounds the countryside. Tai Lam Country Park is mostly granite except a small area in the north-eastern corner. This is also one of the top hiking places in Hong Kong.
Big Buddha: The Giant Buddha or the Big Buddha is situated on the Ngong Ping Lantau Island and is the top sightseeing attraction in Hong Kong. This bronze giant statue of Big Buddha was completed in 1993. It is 34m high and 250 metric tons. This Big Buddha is listed as the second largest outdoor sitting statue in the world, after the one in Taiwan. You can take a ride along this impressive gigantic statue in a Cable Car from the “Ngong Ping 360” cable car terminus. Surprisingly it can be even seen from Macau in a clear day.
Kowloon Park: If you feel tucked up in the hectic schedule of the city then Kowloon Park is a great escape that will wash away your weariness like mountain spring. Amazing thing is this calm place was once an army fortress that was handed over by the military department for public use in the year 1970. The park has a 200 metres sheltered walkway, which is a pure bliss during the rainy time.
