  4. Report Classic Report Writer Canned Reports Created by Convio Reports that can be created by the user Constituent 360 - Pros: Quick, easy & thorough. They are accurate because the user doesn’t have an opportunity to create inconsistencies with customizations. Cons: Not a lot of customizing available. Not able to copy or share. Some Filtering Options Many Filtering Options Pros: A lot of flexibility with filters, output, etc. Pull almost any field you want into your output and view exactly what you want to view. Cons: Human error… Manipulating a report means more mistakes. User must learn to be vigilant and ensure customizations didn’t muddle results. Some Output Options Many Output Options Not able to copy, or share. Export available. Able to copy, save as or share. Export available Analytics Some analytics

  5. Reports Classic • Reports you may find useful • Participant registration report – Holistic view of each participant. One registrant per line item with details. Includes: Name, contact info, team, fundraising, answers to questions they were asked during registration (ie: who are you swimming in honor of). • Participant performance report – View of participants fundraising progress. One registrant per line item with fundraising details. Goal, total raised, % of goal, etc. • TeamRaiser summary report – Holistic view of your event’s participation types. One participation type per line item. Lists how many registrants you have in what unit, how much that bucket raised, average donation, etc. One TR at a time. • Event Check in Report – Has emergency contact info • Team Summary Report – Overall performance of each team in you TR.

  6. Reports Classic • What you should know • A lot are useful – bang around and experiment • Export – As a pdf, csv, or html

Report Writer • Purpose of report writer is so you can choose your own output and filters. • 9 Reports - We created 9 reports for you based on what your needs will be but they are yours to change. They are all in one giant list but fall into one of two categories • Event Reports - For participant reporting and summaries • All participants registered • All volunteers registered • All swimmers registered • Emergency contact info • All Team summary – Team total raised, etc. • Event overview – Total $, # of registrants, etc. • 3) Financial Reports – For trouble shooting, tie out, etc. • Checks entered today – Checks entered on a certain day. For tie out. • Participant gift analysis – You choose the swimmer and pull all of the donors in. • Gift total – Gift detail report with all of the gifts for your TR. You set the filters.

  8. Report Writer • Edit a Report –Selecti columns, filter, etc. • Copy a Report - If you create a report, other users in your center can see it but not edit it. If you want to edit someone’s report, copy it. • Naming Conventions – User first name – report name • Share a Report – Run Report and then click share. Choose your audience. • Schedule a Report – Run report, schedule it, then share it with people. It will email them when the report is ready.

What you should know • What you need report writer vs report classic for. • We tried to anticipate your needs, but this is trial and error. • There is more than one way to skin a cat, the challenge here is finding the best way and the best way for your chapter. • Setting filters in report writer is challenging. The fields are foreign to us. Use our reports if you get stuck.
