  3. About Lemurs • Lemurs are small primates and most of them are almost extinct. • They are vegetarians. • Most are nocturnal creatures.

  4. The Adaptation of Lemurs • Lemurs have adapted well with their travelling and feeding techniques. • The Aye-aye has a long middle finger to gather grub. • The Sifaka has very powerful legs so that it can jump from tree to tree at a distance of up to 10m.

  5. Madagascan Tribe • A tribe from Madagascar believes if an Aye-aye points at you, you will die! They also use their fingers as charms.

  7. Species of Lemurs Aye-aye, Indri, Ring-tailed lemur, Sifaka, Mouse Lemur, Bamboo Lemurs, Grey Mouse Lemur, Folk marked Lemur, Red bellied-Lemur.

  8. Aye-aye • An Aye-aye is a nocturnal lemur that look’s very unusual and is almost extinct in the wild. • It uses it’s very long middle finger for feeding.

  9. Indri • The Indri is the largest of the lemurs. • The indri has a distinctive call not unlike whale song.

  10. Ring-tailed Lemur • Ring-tailed lemurs are one of the commonest species of lemurs.
