Introduction and Role • Sharon Shakespeare (Support Group Project Officer) HCPC Registered Social Worker & experience • Role & Responsibilities • Professional ongoing Support & training to members involved in the regional groups • Professional guidance – Social Care Governance • Point of Contact – BFSG Regional Mutual Support

To offer regional mutual support to each other To offer regular support in addition to the BFSG national events To identify what members want locally and to strengthen local support networks within region To assess & review pilot scheme at end of this year – Feedback to committee to assess The Aim of Regional Mutual Support

Where– Scotland, Manchester & London /South East How – Pilot scheme used as a learning tool – Cover a100mile radius – Aim: to actively include & to offer the choice toas many members as possible to improve outcomes for BFSG Members regionally. What will it be –Casual cup of tea/Coffee or lunch What costs - Cost of meal funded by SSAFA. Travel at members expense (BFSG Committee) Where, How & What Costs?

Regional Numbers – 31st March BFSG Members in the following Pilot Schemes: Scotland Region (25) Fraserburth, Fife, Aberdeen, Angus, Dundee & Glasgow Manchester Region – (92) Derbyshire, Midlands, Yorkshire, Merseyside & Lincolnshire London/South East Region – (56) London, Kent, Hampshire, Cambridgeshire, Surrey & Essex

  9. Dates for Diary’s Regional Pilot scheme in 2014 • Manchester Monday 10th February (x 21) • Scotland Saturday 17th May (tbc) (feedback 31st March – 8/25) • London/South East: Saturday 14th June • Manchester Sunday 29th June

Feedback questionnaires & your views • Aim: To find out what we can do better to reach a successful outcome for regionalisation for all members • Evaluation will take place after each event - feedback forms • Members comments, views & opinions encouraged • A report wrote to summarise the event to feed back to BFSG Committee at the end of this year • An example: Scottish feedback – identified? • Feedback from all BFSG Members very much appreciated
