Maps • Globes • Most accurate map someone can have. • Physical Maps • Displays physical features of a region. • Political Maps • Displays political boundaries and cities. • Physical / Political Maps • Combination map • Special Purpose Maps • Maps that display specific or “special” information.

  8. Map Projections • It is not useful to use a globe for travel or reference…therefore: • The surface of the Globe is removed and stretched out on a flat surface so it can be used. • Each of them have advantages and disadvantages.
