Interpretation and Theatrical Elements • Open your SB books to page 268. Define the following terms in your R&J packets: • Interpretation • Theatrical Elements • Follow along on page 268 as we read about these two terms.
Compare / Contrast Versions of R&J • Use the graphic organizer on page 268 for note taking. Focus on costumes and music!
Compare and Contrast • Take a moment to consider the tools that film directors use to convey meaning. Use the Venn diagram on page 269 to identify how a stage director’s tools are similar to and different from the tools of a film director. • In 2-3 paragraphs, write a well formulated response arguing which version of R&J conveys more meaning/depth/understanding to the audience.
