Demonstration of Agronomic practices • Direct seeded rice in most paddy growing states • Community paddy nurseries 150 acres/district in Bihar • Double transplanting of overage seedling in paddy in Bihar and West Bengal • Promotion of crop diversification with maize in rice wheat cropping states • Promotion of intercropping of millets, pulses and oilseeds • Broad bed furrow and ridge furrow planting for soybean in Madhya Pradesh • Pest and disease management in all states 7
