Cinquain Pattern #1 The traditional Cinquain, which was invented by the 19th century American poet Adelaide Crapsey, has five lines, with a syllable count of 2, 4, 6, 8, 2. Here's one of mine. I have(2) wandered alone (4) in the Derbyshire hills (6) but my heart was always seeking (8) the sea(2)
