Teaching Ideas • Teach the target vocabulary first. • Before using with your student, preview theanimations to best support communication opportunities. • The adult should maintain control of the mouse to produce the action. Use a 5-second time delay after transitioning to a slide to allow the student time to initiate with the core verb “give,” before clicking the mouse. • Look up other words; pivot off the core vocabulary to include fringe (i.e., “Give cake”).
