DESCRIPTION OF THE INCIDENT:
Al-Hassan Engineering Co. vehicle (AHEC) had a head-on collision with a third party vehicle along the NIZWA-SALALAH highway approximately 115 kms from Qarn Alam towards Haima. The AHEC truck was travelling to Haima with 2 passengers. The third party saloon car was travelling to Muscat with 2 passengers. The 3rd party driver died in the hospital on 13th January 2006. Other third party occupants and AHEC driver received various degrees of injuries. The four IPs were immediately transferred to Haima hospital and later to Nizwa Referral Hospital. The two AHEC passengers received slight first aid injuries.
