Functions • Water carries the nutrients your body needs throughout the bloodstream, and transports waste from cells. Water also lubricates your joints, and mucus membranes. Without water your body wouldn't have what it needs to help eliminate waste.
Amount Needed • Your body should be 60-70% water. A good way to figure out how much water you need to have everyday is by taking your weight (in pounds) and dividing it in half. For example, if you way 120 pounds, you should have about 60 ounces of water everyday.
