ProposalArctic Spill Response Database Overview Develop a searchable oil spill response equipment database and populate it with detailed information on Arctic-specific equipment, vessels, dispersant stockpiles and application platforms, in situ burn boom, skimmers, well containment and cap and flow devices, and other resources owned by or regionally available to all member states of the Arctic Council. Benefits • Support Arctic Regional Contingency Planning • Inform Surge Capacities • Provide for Targeted Requests for Assistance Plan • If support, formal proposal at November 2014 EPPR meeting • U.S. to provide base funding to hire contractor for work • Establish team to define database needs and agree on nomenclature
