  1. ct of Rebellion A The entire book is set into play with Katniss and Peeta’s final act of rebellion in the end on the first book. And the 75th Hunger games, unbeknownst to the Capitol and game makers…and Katniss and Peeta, is an entire act of rebellion by the tributes in conjunction with District 13 against the Capitol. “There was a plan to break us out of the arena from the moment the Quell was announced.” (pg 385)

O nly one Through out the book Katniss feels that she is the “only one.” After her visit from President Snow, Katniss feels that she is the only one who can save her family and Peeta by keeping up the act of being in love with Peeta. Toward the end, Katniss realizes that she is the only one who can lead the revolution against the capitol. “The bird, the pin, the song, the berries, the watch, the cracker, the dress that burst into flames. I am the mockingjay. The one that survived despite the Capitol’s plans. The symbol of rebellion.” (pg 386-387)
