Starry Night The subject of this painting is landscape. It is a photo of a city from far away view. The artist focused on the sky more then the land. To make this art work the artist used oil painting or oil pastels on canvas. By: Vincent Van Gogh Oil on canvas
Comparing My favorite art piece is “Played Out”. I feel it is more realistic and clear. The colors also make it look as if it is a photograph. But “Starry Night” is very cartoon like and has a weird of coloring.
Leonardo Da Vinci Leonardo Da Vinci is an Italian artist and inventor.
The Mona Lisa The Mona Lisa was took from 1503 to 1519 to be finished. This is a portrait of Lisa Gheradini the wife of Francisco Del Giocondo. He used oil paint on poplar panel. I chose this particular painting because first it took a really long time to make. From 1503 to 1519 is 16 years. I can’t imagine that anyone could sit for lots of hours a weak for 16 years just to get a painting made. And secondly because it is really neat and beautiful. I wonder how much this lady paid for Leonardo to paint her. Also because if the painting took 16 years to make how did Leonardo make it so perfect. Did this lady have to wear the same clothes and sit the way every time she went to him.
