  2. Lithosphere • The lithosphere is the outer solid part of the Earth. • The lithosphere includes the crust and the upper mantle. • The lithosphere is the land. • The lithosphere contains the continental drift. • The continental drift is where the continents split apart like an unsolved puzzle. • The lithosphere has plate tectonics that move over magma.

  3. Lithosphere

  4. Hydrosphere • The hydrosphere is always moving. • The hydrosphere is the liquid water component of the Earth. • The hydrosphere’s water is one of the things we need to live. • The hydrosphere’s water evaporates and falls as rain. Then it falls into a river where animals drink water. • The water travels everywhere. • The hydrosphere consists of three other spheres of the Earth system. The other spheres are biosphere, atmosphere , lithosphere.

  5. Hydrosphere

  6. Atmosphere • The atmosphere is the air around the Earth. • It is always moving and is constantly changing. • The atmosphere is responsible for the weather. • Air is the atmosphere. • The atmosphere is held by Earth’s gravity.

  7. Atmosphere • The atmosphere is divided into five layers. 1.The troposphere , where the weather occurs. 2.The stratosphere, where many jet aircrafts fly. 3.The mesosphere, where meteors or rock fragments burn up. 4.The thermosphere, where space shuttle orbits. 5.The exosphere is the upper level of the atmosphere.

  8. Biosphere • The biosphere are all the living organisms. Such as plants, insects, people, and animals. • The biosphere works together with three other spheres. The lithosphere, the atmosphere, and the hydrosphere. • The biosphere helps the world work (live). • The biosphere is anywhere in the Earth. Even if it is across the whole world. • The biosphere works all day, every day. • The biosphere is like air, because it is life.

  9. Biosphere

  10. How the four spheres interact • The atmosphere interacts with all living things because it contains oxygen. • The hydrosphere interacts with all the other spheres providing water and nutrients for all living things. • The biosphere interacts with all the other spheres because mostly everything people or animals do affects the air, water or land. • The atmosphere and hydrosphere can change the lithosphere through erosion or weathering.
