  2. Textbooks & Resources: • Textbooks this year are consumable. If your child loses it, you will need to print off homework assignments from online resource. • Additional video instruction: • www.khanacademy.com • www.virtualnerd.com

  3. Homework: I will assign homework on a regular basis & expect it to be completed. Homework will not receive a grade in the gradebook. Answer keys will be provided so students can ask for help if they don’t understand how to get a correct answer. Students are required to show their work on a separate piece of paper.

  4. Assessment Corrections: • Students may redo assessments if they have completed the necessary steps required for reassessment. • Students will need to turned in a Request to Reassess form within 48 hours, complete the assigned homework, & attend tutoring prior to reassessment.

  5. www.Edmodo.com Each Student login gets one Parent login code. Students & parents can join Edmodo to look at notes, assignments, videos, etc. Edmodo is used quite a bit in 8th grade, so make it a part of your regular routine.

  6. Parent Connection: Every parent should login to HAC. Students should also login to HAC is necessary to monitor grades and keep up with assignments. https://denhac.dentonisd.org/HomeAccess/
