Background – Corporate NGIS • First (proto) deal for CS corporate affiliates, effective Jan 2011 • Bulk deal, in which employees get access to some CS benefits • Northrop Grumman Information Systems (NGIS): • NGIS made up of predominantly IT and SW engineers • NGIS already has a corporate license for IEL. • NGIS Expectations • Want to provide employees with as many CS membership benefits as possible • Provide employees with access to CS materials that promote employee development and corporate citizenship
Affiliate Membership Benefits • Under CAP, Northrop Grumman Information Systems employees will receive: • Access to a dedicated online portal containing information and links to career-development tools • Digital delivery of Computer • Delivery of a quarterly e-newsletter highlighting articles and information available through CAP • Access to 3.500 Element K online technical and business courses • Access to 600 Safari Books Online • Discounts on the Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) and Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) certifications • Discounts on Computer Society webinars

General Outreach Implications • Several groups inside NGIS and NG • Unaware of standards at all, their scope • Interested in learning more about a specific standard • Expert, wishes to get involved in standards development • All can be “pulled” back to S2ESC site, but must be guided to the correct spot • First action: basic blurb(s) in newsletter • Intro to S2ESC standards (read, buy) • Intro to getting involved • We need to point back to S2ESC site • Spread awareness to other divisions
