Snyder Act (1924) • Improved reservation conditions • Taught new farming/irrigation methods • Stopped Americanizing Indians
Indian Citizenship Act (1924) • Gained citizenship • Freedom to travel • Able to vote
Indian Reorganization Act (1934) • Wheeler-Howard Act • Some reservation land returned to tribes • Money donated for education
Indian Claims Commission (1946) • Authorized by Harry Truman • Awarded money for lost land • Indians could make claims until 1951

Gloria Kellogg • Has been discriminated: in a restaurant in Stillwater a few years ago, and in a restaurant in Amarillo • Her son has to go through extra security at airports because of his dark skin • Is major, all types are major
Adam Cagle • Has not been discriminated against • It’s not a huge deal for people • Main discrimination is African Americans and Whites
Maegan Needham • Has not been discriminated against • People don’t know, it’s not a big deal • Doesn’t know another, not too major
