Joyful. “Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.” 2 Cor. 7:4. “I overflow with joy” = ASV “I am overflowing with joy” = ESV.

Joyful “Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.” 2 Cor. 7:4 “I overflow with joy” = ASV “I am overflowing with joy” = ESV “Cheerfulness, calm delight, gladness, exceeding joy, calmly happy, or well-off, be glad, joy, rejoice”

Christians should be Happy Joy does not depend upon external circumstances Joy comes from within John 15:11 “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.” John 10:10b “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”. Bountiful blessings

Joyful In spite of circumstances “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Phil. 1:21 “For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.” Romans 14:8 Tax Exempt Investments “prisoner of Jesus Christ” “But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;” Phil. 1:12

Joyful In spite of people “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” Phil. 2:3 “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Phil. 2:4 “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;” Romans 12:10

Joyful In spite of things “Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.” Phil.3:19 “For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:” Phil. 3:20 “For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.” Rom.8:5

  6. Joyful In spite of things 1 Tim. 6:6-8 “for we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” 1 Tim. 6:17-19 Do not trust in uncertain riches Trust in God Rich in good works Laying up in store May lay hold on eternal life.

  7. Joyful In spite of worry “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say rejoice.” Phil.4:4 “6. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Phil. 4:6-7 Don’t worry

  8. Joyful In spite of worry “Casting all your care upon him: for he careth for you”. 1 Peter 5:7 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phil. 4:13 We can overcome worry – We can rejoice and be happy! Phil. 4:11 = we can learn to be content

  9. Joyful We can have joy in Christ ! “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 b “Cheerfulness, calm delight, gladness, exceeding joy, calmly happy, or well-off, be glad, joy, rejoice”
