Multiplying Two Integers with Different Signs • Example: • Words: The product of two integers with different signs is negative. • 4(-3)=-12 -3(4)= -12
Multiplying Two Integers with the Same Sign • Example: • Word: The product of two integers with same sign is positive. • 4(3) =12 • -4(-3)= 12
Multiplying More than Two Integers • Know your rules!!! • Two same signs= Positive • Two different signs= Negative • -2 x -4 x -6 = • Pos xNeg = Neg
Dividing Integers with the Same Sign. Example: • Words: The quotient if two integers with the same sign is positive. • -12 ÷ (-3)=4 • 12÷ 3= 4
Dividing Integers with Different Signs Example: • Words: The quotient of two integers with different sign is negative. • -12÷ 4= -3 • 12÷ (-4)= -3
