Introduction • Senator Fuller dies and needs to be replaced quickly • Jim Taylor (a corrupt man who bribes the men in politics ) need someone who will be on their side, or be to stupid to notice that they are grafting Willet Creek. • The governor Happy needs to find someone the people will like. • The Happy’s children try to sell Mr. smith as the next senator. • Happy convinces Mr. Taylor and Mr. Paine that Mr. Smith should be the senator.

  3. Rising Action • Mr. Smith is selected to be the senator • On his first day he tours Washington D.C. without anyone knowing where he is. • He finely shows up 5 hours late . • Saunders doesn't respect Smith so she calls in lots of reporters. • The reporters twist up what he said and did and turns him into a laughing stock . • To try to change the peoples view of him he asks Paine what to do. Pain tells him he should propose a bill. • Smith tells Saunders that he wants to propose a bill that will create a boys camp at Willet Creek , and he want to finish it tonight . • Paine finds out what Smiths bill is and tells Taylor. • Taylor try to bribe smith into stopping the proposal but he refuses. • Taylor bribes people to say that smith is a fraud and is grafting Willet Creek .

  4. Climax • Mr. Smith finds out that he can have a filibuster and hold the chair as long as he doesn't sit down or leave • Smith dose a filibuster and talks in till people leave • Smith calls a quorum witch makes at lest a half of the senators have to be present for his speech . • Taylor bribes all the media to talk bad about smith . • Saunders tells the boy rangers to make a newspaper that tells the truth. Taylor tells his men to destroy the news papers . • Boys all over the town where getting hurt .

  5. Falling action • Paine brings in letters from his state that are telling him to stop . • Smith says he will not stop , he will not give up . Wile he says this he passes out .

  6. Reselution • Mr. Paine tries to commit suicide out of sham and regret . He then storms in and confesses to everything say that smith is telling the truth all of it was true . *fade to black *
