Pythagoras The Pythagorean Theorem
Have you ever wondered who made or came up with the Pythagorean Theorem? Well, I will give you a hint his name was Pythagoras. He was born in Samos in the 500 B.C. Pythagoras was the son of Mnesarchus. He did most of his studying in Greece. Scientist do not know much about him, but most of the information they have is some of his work. He was interested in many things like math, music , and art. About 530 B.C. he established a school in Cyton. He was known as many things like a scientist, a Greek philosopher, and a religious leader. Pythagoras and his followers exercised an important influence on the public and the political life.
Pythagoras introduced philosophy as a way of life. The Pythagorean Theorem was one of the earliest theorems. Pythagoras was often called “ the first pure mathematician.” Also, his study of musical intervals lead to the discovery that the chief intervals can be expressed in numerical ratios. He has created many contributes to math. Pythagoras had also spoken about the five solid figures: Earth is made from a cube, fire the pyramid, air from the octahedron, water from the eicosahaedron, the sphere of the whole (the Aither) from doderahaedron. The Pythagorean Theorem was Pythagoras’ most famous contribute to math. He was so happy about his theorem he sacrificed a oxen. The Pythagorean Theorem , the sum of the area of two red squares A+B are eqaul to the area of the blue square, square C. Most scientist say that Pythagoras had a wife named Theno, a daughter named Damo, and a son named Telauges, who carried on his father’s work.
