What is the book of BIBLE ? The Bible is history of God’s association with his creation. It is a collection of dialogues between God and the humans as well as a history of their relationship.
Why Should We read BIBLE ? The Early Church included in authorized Holy Text of the Bible. These were to help people grow in purity and love in relationship with God. It is a means of remaining in touch with God and knowing His Will.
This is the manual ,which God some men, inspired by holy spirit to write and to teach men how they should handle life in this world.
Main Objective:- Bible help us know and experience and obey Christ so that we can enjoy life in its fulness and plentifulness. John 20:31 “But these are writen that ye might believe that Jesus is the christ, the son of God; and beleiving ye might have life through his name”
How Should we Read the Bible? • With an obedient mind. • Read the word through Church. • Connecting it with our different kinds of problems. • As an epistle which God has sent for me. • With the help of the Holy Spirit and Centering on Christ.
With obedient mind Jesus says that those who listen to God’s will through the word and act in accordance with it are like the man who built his house on a rock foundation. He who hears or reads yet does not obey it is like the man who built his house on sand. The first ones’s life remains unshattered even in the face of adverse circumstances. Mathew 7:24-27
First prepare your mind to concentrate on meditating on the reading at hand. Imagine yourself in each scene or drama. • Besides reading the Bible from beginning to end, read it in the chronological order in which the events took place. • Read all prophecies about Jesus and then read the gospels before you read any other portion of the scriptures. Look for fulfillments. • Read the gospels first and then the messianic prophecies before reading any other part of the Bible.
Read the Book of Revelation before reading the rest of the Bible to understand its relevance to the entire Bible. • Start by reading about each king that reigned in the kingdom of Israel and Judah. Take note of the relatives of individual Hebrews and how they related with one another. • 8 • Take note of individual personality traits that each character displayed and try to understand the results of both negative and positive attributes. • 9 • Read all prophetic books of the Bible such as Isaiah through Malachi, and Revelation. Look for what they have in common.
10 • Focus your reading of the Scriptures on the books or letters of the apostle (or saint) Paul. Read from Romans to Hebrews. • 11 • Read the Scriptures that center on divine wisdom. Read Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. • 12 • Read the Bible books that focus on divine poem, prayer, and songs. Read Job, Psalms and the Song of Solomon. • 13 • Read the book of Hebrews and then Scriptures that deal with the covenant, Law, and the priestly arrangement. Read Exodus chapter 20 through Deteronomy chapter 28.
