  9. Smitha • husband, Mr. Jaikishan (48) is a accountant at a Insurance company(Mumbai).

  14. Smitha’s day • She gets up by 7 every morning

  15. Smitha’s day • She wakes up her husband • & kids by 6:30 am.

  16. Smitha’s day • She prepares breakfast by 7 am.

  17. Smitha’s day • They all have Break fast at 7.

  18. Smitha’s day • The kids leave to school & husband leaves to work by 7:30 am.

  19. Smitha’s day • The kids leave to school & husband to work. • She gets ready by 10 am.

  20. Smitha’s day • She goes to market to buy vegetables and groceries.

  21. Smitha’s day • She comes back and watches T.V. for about an hour

  22. Smitha’s day • She get the lunch ready.

  23. Smitha’s day • She takes her lunch watching T.V.

  24. Smitha’s day • She continues to watch T.V. for a while and takes a nap by about 3 : 30 pm

  25. Smitha’s day • She gets up by 4:30 and has tea by 5pm

  26. Smitha’s day • She has a chat with her neighbours while she waters the plants outside the house.

  27. Smitha’s day • She goes for a walk with neighbour and fetches the kids from bus stop.

  28. Smitha’s day • They are back home. • Kids freshen up and grab something to eat

  29. Smitha’s day • Sheetal gets started with homework and Rahul sits to work on the computer. And smithagets the dinner preparation started

  30. Smitha’s day • Smitha comes to check up on Rahul & Sheetal.

  31. Smitha’s day • Smitha, having some free time and sees Rahul playing games on the PC, asks Rahul to introduce her to few new things in the computer.

  32. Smitha’s day • Rahul stops playing and keen on teaching mother to use computer, starts to show her around the desktop.

  33. Smitha’s day • Smitha stresses Rahul to teach her to switch on the computer first. She tells him that she’s scared to turn it on as a wrong switch could spoil it.

  34. Smitha’s day • Smitha is more keen on learning computer from her kids rather than her husband (uses computer in his office) as he shouts at her when she makes mistakes.

  35. Smitha’s day • Rahul introduces Smitha to Paint. Smitha is happy to use the painting program, but struggles with using the mouse.

  36. Smitha’s day • She feels that computer needs to be learnt from a tutor and cant be learnt by own.

  37. Smitha’s day • She,by now, after several days of such learning, can manage to open folders and play songs.

  38. Smitha’s day • Smitharealises that dinner needs to be arranged and leaves Rahul telling him to switch off the computer and study.

  39. Smitha’s day • It is about 8 pm and husband comes home after work.

  40. Smitha’s day • They all have dinner while watching T.V. by 9pm

  41. Smitha’s day • Smitha tells her husband that Rahul taught her to use paint on the computer earlier in the evening.

  42. Smitha’s day • Smitha & husband Talk about how difficult it is for a first timer to use the computer.

  43. Smitha’s day • Mr. Jaikishan happy that Smitha is able to extend her computer knowledge goes on to tell that Women should make more use of computer at home.

  44. Smitha’s day • He adds that Smitha should learn XL, Word & Powerpoint as its easy to get a job with the above skill set.

  45. Smitha’s day • To tell kids also that computer is such a great tool, he adds that computer is essential for any business or any field today.

  46. Smitha’s day • He answers Smitha’s concern about difficulties learning computer by saying that parents should be called to school along with their children to learn computer.

  47. Smitha’s day • Mr.Jaikishan lets out that kids or the “good generation” are faster in learning computer unlike adults.

  48. Smitha’s day • He ends the topic by saying • “For anyone to learn computer, they ought to be self motivated”.

  49. Smitha’s day • The kids are sent to bed by 10pm
