Prepo Exercise Policy Mission Statement Establish a prepositioning exercise plan that includes the development of Marine Corps core competencies and expeditionary capabilities, enables advanced seabasing experimentation and doctrine development, synchronizes efforts with the navy and across the Marine Corps, and supports the accomplishment of the objectives in the Prepositioning Road Map.
Prepo Exercise Policy • Goal of four prepositioning exercises per year • One of the four will be a MEB level exercise • MCSCP Metrics • Prepo Exercise Working Group to meet during each USMC Force Synch Conference. Exercise schedule to be maintained as Tab E of MCBul 3120 Consolidated Marine Corps Force Allocation Schedule • SIPR address - www.marforcom.usmc.smil.mil
Prepo Exercise Policy Highlights • MEB level exercise in CONUS (West Coast 2011, Pacific Horizon) • Exercises to utilize equipment from both MPF and ashore prepositioning • PP&O to review and validate MARFOR exercise cost estimates • PPFB • Supports CMC Guidance outlined in the Prepositioning Road Map (currently being updated as Expeditionary Policies Road Map)
Prepo Exercise Budget • Exercise budget includes • A&A Ops • Exercise TAD • Site Surveys • Regeneration • PHIT should be covered under Joint Exercise Costs. • Exceptions may exist. • Exercise costs meet or exceed threshold submissions received by each MARFOR. • Funding for experimentation potentially coordinated via DC CD&I (SID)
