What Is the Curse? The Curse of A-Rod is a curse that surrounds the player Alex Rodriguez. The curse says that whatever team Alex Rodriguez is never going to win a World Series. These teams include the Seattle Mariners, the Texas Rangers, and the New York Yankees.
Does The Curse Still Stand? The answer is no, the New York Yankees won the World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies in 2009 to end the Curse of A-Rod. The curse lasted roughly sixteen years which is most of A-Rod’s career.
What The Fans Think • Rodriguez got a reputation for going wherever he was offered the most money. • Seattle played extremely well after A-Rod left winning 116 games. • The Rangers averaged 78 wins per season with A-Rod on the team despite him winning the AL MVP. • A-Rod’s production goes down in the post season leading people to label him a “choker.”
What We Believe We believe that the Curse of A-Rod is alive at times but others non-existent. Depending on how the teams doing at that exact moment determines whether people would like to believe in the Curse of A-Rod. We believe A-Rod is a scapegoat for a clubs bigger problems.
