Introduction • This tutorial is specifically meant for those who have access to both Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 and YouTube. • After this tutorial you will be able to incorporate YouTube videos from the Internet into your presentations. • The difference between inserting a video and embedding video code into a presentation: • Inserting a video file involves having a full video file downloaded to your personal computer • Embedding a video from YouTube allows you to: • Save space on your computer • Take advantage of the Internet by having an embedded player linked to a video that streams from over the Internet • Not have as bulky of a presentation for sending and sharing.
Find Your Video on YouTube • Once you find the video of your choice, look for the specific section that says “Embed”
Copy the Embed Code • Once the “Embed” feature is clicked you can change settings such as size and quality options. • Copy the code from the text box. • This will be used soon.
Transfer the Code to PowerPoint • Once in PowerPoint, go to: • “Insert” • “Video” • “Video from Website”
Paste the Embed Code • Make sure you have the embed code copied before you paste in this window.
