How to Insert a Video Into a PowerPoint Presentation Instructions for Completing a Presentation with a Video
Pick a Slide Format That Allows for Insertion of Media • Go to Media files • Pick a Video from your file • Add file to the slide Pick Insert Media Clip
Inserting Video from Hard Drive • Open Microsoft PowerPoint application and select the type of presentation you wish to create. • Click insert tab -> click video ion in Media section -> choose video from my pc -> click search -> select video -> click insert • This should take you back to PowerPoint where you can edit and make necessary adjustments to layout.
From Toolbar Pick the Insert Tab then go to the Media Section and Pick Video Libraries > Videos > Public Videos > Sample Videos Choose the Video to open from your video library and then click on Insert to place video on slide.
Video Inserted After picking the video to insert, You will get a “Media Player” added to your slide. When you have a live presentation of the slide show, you will be able to click on the “Play” button to produce the video.
Inserting Video using Embed Code (continued) • Use your favorite search engine Bing, Google, or Yahoo. • Search and select a video (I used YouTube) • Click on the share tab under video -> select embed -> highlight and copy text code • Return to PowerPoint slide click insert tab -> video -> online video -> paste embed code in box
The video tools format tab will automatically open. You can make necessary adjustments to your video and then save.
