  3. Project Goals Strengthen the capacity of girl-serving STEM programs to effectively reach and serve underrepresented girls in STEM. Increase the effectiveness of Collaborativesby providing professional development focused on sustainability, organizational effectiveness, and shared leadership. Maximize K-12 school counselors’ access to and use of relevant, high-quality resources that increase awareness of barriers to girls’ interest and engagement in STEM.

  5. Benefits for Collaborative Leadership Teams Collaboration Institute training focused on building organizational and Collaborative capacity. Mini-grant funds to support and motivate collaboration. Opportunities to network and strategize with other collaborative teams. An updated version of The National Girls Collaborative Project Collaboration Guide with new topics, tools, and templates.

  6. Benefits for Collaborative Leadership Teams Opportunity to continue statewide leadership in initiating and expanding STEM activities. Opportunity to be a recognized partner in a National Science Foundation grant. Ongoing project implementation support provided by NGCP National Leadership team members. Access to professional development to build organizational capacity. Access to NGCP data and reports to build Collaborative sustainability and a case for funding support.

NEW products and trainings to support reaching and serving underrepresented girls in STEM and school counselors. Information about Convening Organization listed on NGCP Web site, which receives over 4 million hits annually. Connect with a national network of senior professionals to leverage resources.
