Process • December: Board adopts potential transportation measure in 2014-2016 Workplan • January - Present: Start of stakeholder groups • City Public Works and Transportation Directors • Regional Agencies (Caltrans, Caltrain, BART, ACE, Amtrak, etc.) • Business, labor and advocacy stakeholders • Transportation Policy Committee Q2 Board Meeting

Process • February and April – Letters and emails to all elected officials in SCC and regional bodies (MTC, ABAG) • Forty one 1:1 meetings with elected officials. • Testimony at Palo Alto, San Jose City Council meetings, Santa Clara Cities Association • Upcoming hearings with Los Altos Hills, West Valley cities, and others. • March, May, June - Working Council meetings Q2 Board Meeting

  7. BART Phase 2 • Phase 1 from Alameda County border to Milpitas and Berryessa • $100 mil under budget, 1 year ahead of schedule • Phase 2 through downtown San Jose, ending at Santa Clara Station • Intended $1 B request from Federal New Starts Program • Local shortfall: $1.3 B Q2 Board Meeting

Caltrain • Focused on capacity, speed and safety improvements between Gilroy and Palo Alto • Projects include: • Level Boarding (10 stations) • Longer Platforms (6 stations) • Crossover tracks • Track improvements around Diridon Station • Additional electric train sets • Flexible pot for grade separation seed money, CalMod, ongoing state of good repair Q2 Board Meeting
