Effectiveness Of Chlorine • Chlorine is used to disinfect pools and hot tubs. It succeeds in disinfecting pools and hot tubs that mostly every pool has chlorine in it to keep from algae growing. • Chlorine is also used in bleach to bleach clothes, bleach paper, used in paints and medicines. Also commonly found in pesticides,etc. • The main purpose of chlorine is to kill bacteria from drinking water supplies. • Used in “mustard gas” during the World Wars to kill the enemy
