Why is a retention policy required? • To improve Blackboard performance • Maximize storage reliability and performance • Minimize downtime by reducing storage consumption and future storage growth • Reduce associated costs related to long-term storage maintenance • Reduce the need for staff resources allocated to maintaining out-of-date systems currently storing old content
IT Services will: • Create a custom form to archive each course, including student data, to Razorvault • Course content will be maintained in Razorvault for 7 years • Course content can be restored to Blackboard on request • Notify faculty when courses are scheduled to be deleted • Provide Razorvault training and support
