Lithium-Ion Batteries Lithium-Polymer Batteries Pros … Can cut cells to fit custom sizes Any capacity available Heat resistant Less likely to explode Not many fakes in market Lighter than Lithium-Ion Cons More expensive (Most of our other models) Pros … • Standard Size, therefore cheaper • Up to 2600mah only • Short lead times due to ample supply Cons • Common, so plenty of fake in market • Not very heat resistant • Heavy due to metal casing of liquid compounds • Can explode • (mostly our two entry-level models)

  7. What’s most important when assessing power banks? • Battery Capacity – • How many times will it charge my phone before I have to recharge it? (see table) • Will it charge my tablet? • Cycle Life of Battery – • How many times will your power bank charge before its cycle life is over? • How can you tell that yours won’t last just a few months ? <50 cycles. • Is the promised capacity real? • Have you purchased the power bank from someone reputable? • Is there a warranty? • How fast does the power bank charge your phone/tablet? • How quickly does it take your power bank take to charge when flat? • Always choose a safe product over a cheap product!!!

Need-to-know charging devices continued Input Current: Indicates the speed at which a charger recharges itself from a USB power source (such as a PC USB port or USB wall plug adaptor) Output Current: Indicates the speed at which the charger charges a connected device. Discharge Time: Indicates the average time in which a charger can drain all of its energy to charge up an average mobile device. Note: Speed varies depending on which mobile device you are charging hence the greater than or equal to symbols are used to represent a variable figure. Recharge Time: Indicates the time required for the power bank to fully recharge itself from a USB power source (such as a PC USB port or a USB wall plug adaptor)
